Dear all

I have had neither objections nor new suggestions, so SIRF it is!

All the best

Kris

Dear all

We had some discussion on this yesterday. Our preferred candidate is

SIRF: Synergistic Image Reconstruction Framework

However, we decided to give it a week for anybody to come up with an even better suggestion. Final decision on Monday.

All the best
Kris

Dear all

We're trying to find a good name for the software of the CCP PETMR network. Our acronym is great, but doesn't quite role of the tongue. Also, we hope that in the future our software framework will be useful for other modalities than PET and MR. So we're looking for good suggestions. Do you have one? Send it to the list!

We came up with a few already

SIR: Synergistic Image Reconstruction

SMIR: Synergistic Multimodal Image Reconstruction;

SMIRF: Synergistic Multimodal Image Reconstruction Framework

We even had SMERSH, but I cannot remember what that stood for...

Any preferences? Send it to the list!

It'd be great to have a few reactions before/at our software meeting on Monday. Still time to register for that meeting and come or dial-in: https://www.ccppetmr.ac.uk/node/46

Enjoy the weekend.
