Probably water under the bridge now, but the commit comment is
wrong: the redundant normalization was in the aberration code, not
light deflection.
A fun fact to end with. Although the light from a star about to be
occulted by the Sun is deflected about 1.74 arcsec, the light from a
feature on the limb of the Sun is deflected only 4 mas. Not a lot
of people know that.
