Thank you for the reference, I wasn't aware of that paper! Unfortunately, it will probably not be an option for me for now, as I don't work with FSL and as I will not be able to implement the code in Matlab / SPM environment.
The main reason I was wondering is that with the "traditional" slice time corrections the ISI should be (at least) twice the TR to avoid aliasing as stated in a few papers dealing with STC in general, but the emphasis is on *should* and there is no explicit statement on rapid event-related designs (or I have overlooked that), which one might think of rather easily in that context. I'm also aware of several papers (and tutorials) with shorter ISIs in which they hightlight the importance of STC due to the "event-related" character, so I'm a little bit surprised & would be curious to see whether anyone has simulated aliasing effects in experiments like those.
