This event in Washington DC should be of interest to anyone involved in the arts/humanities/data interface.
For those of us unable to attend in person, hopefully it’ll be possible to catch up with slides etc after the event.

Subject: Symposium, Cultural Heritage and Data, Dec 5-6 2016, Washington
I just learned of a very interesting symposium that's taking place on
December 5-6, 2016 titled "Cultural Heritage and Data: the Role of
Research infrastructure". This is organized by a number of
organizations, including the Library of Congress, The National Gallery,
The Smithsonian and George Washington University on the US side, and an
several organizations representing the member states of the EU on the
European side.
Here's more information on the conference. Registration is free, but
closes November 30.
