Come and find out about the latest meningitis research and help shape the future of vaccine decision making.
24 November 2016, 7.00pm - 9.00pm, The Orangery, Goldney Hall, Lower Clifton Hill, Bristol, BS8 1BH
• Discover and take part in our research on public preferences for vaccination
• Find out what influences decisions on childhood vaccines
• Meet researchers who have helped influence public policy
Meningitis Research Foundation is currently funding research to find out public views and preferences for different childhood vaccinations.
Dr Hannah Christensen and her team at the University of Bristol will use questionnaires to discover what factors (e.g. age, type of disease, severity and societal impacts) are important when comparing benefits from different vaccines.
Ultimately the findings from this research could influence decisions about which vaccines should be introduced into the routine immunisation programme in the UK.
The researchers have been busy designing the questionnaire but now they need your help.
As part of this research Discovery Day you will be invited to take part in a pilot run of the questionnaire. Your answers will be invaluable in helping to fine tune the final design. You will also have the opportunity to learn more about the project and how decision making about vaccines works from the team leading this research.
It’s free to attend but places will be limited, so book your place now.
