Dear Colleagues,
We welcome expressions of interest for the appointment of External Examiner for our BA Mass Communication framework and MSc Mass Communication Management, which are based within the Department of Social Sciences at Northumbria University
The appointment will begin in January 2017 and usually lasts for four years. Previous experience acting as an external examiner is desirable.
The Mass Communications framework is a theoretical degree consisting of four pathways; Mass Communication, Mass Communication with Public Relations, Mass Communication with Advertising, and Mass Communication with Business. The pathways share the same first and second year modules, then offer a range of specialist, pathway-specific modules in the final year. The programme is taught at Northumbria and at our international partner institution. The framework focuses on the creative industries, encompassing theory from media and cultural studies as well as PR and advertising theory.
