parallely to the actual bannings and arrests of academics and
intellectuals in Turkey, a new German-Turkish documentary movie deals
with the German-Jewish Exile in Turkey in the 1930s-1950s.
"Haymatloz" was the term coined by Turkish authorities for those German
and Jewish-German academics and politicians, who were banned and
threatened by the NAzis and came to Turkey from 1933 to spend the years
until 1945 in Turkish Exile.
