Hello,
I have a question about randomise software. I have never used a lot this software, only for the normal comparison between groups (e.g. t-test).
Now, I would to compare by using a different and more complicate thing (for me...).
I have two different groups (patients and health controls). Inside at these groups I have male and female, therefore looks like if I have four different groups (patients female - patients male, HC male, and HC female).
Moreover, I have 2 co-variates (age and education).
I would like to understand if I have any difference between patients female and patients male in DTI metrics (by keeping in consideration the difference between my HC male and HC female control groups).
Now, I have thought the matrix in this way: the columns are HC female - HC male - pat. female - pat. male - age - education:
In this simple example I have 3 HCs female, 2 HCs male, 3 patients female, and 2 patients male + age and education.
1 0 0 0 23 5
1 0 0 0 21 4
1 0 0 0 30 7
0 1 0 0 23 5
0 1 0 0 21 4
0 0 1 0 30 7
0 0 1 0 34 7
0 0 1 0 21 5
0 0 0 1 20 6
0 0 0 1 44 4
and the contrasts in this way (comparison between patients female-male by considering the difference in DTI between HC male and HC female and co-variates):
1 -1 -1 1 0 0
-1 1 1 -1 0 0
In your opinion, are these files correct?
Thanks,
Mike.
