Maybe Harriet just see Dispatches as too connected to you. And think that it is partly for self promotional purposes.

It's interesting that the Poetry Foundation/Harriet would link to an article on a fanciful hypothetical, and not link to the announcement put out the day following the election for Trumped!--A Treasury of Presidential Poems for the New Era.
Of course, the "interesting" is also totally predictable (predictable can be interesting, in certain subcultural circumstances) given that Harriet/PF has been assiduously boycotting anything posted on Dispatches or related to it. Harriet won't even link to serial poetry reviews by Ben Hollander, published in the NYT (or anywhere else), even though they link to every single rare item the NYT publishes on poetry. Why? Because Hollander is one of the Contributing Editors of Dispatches.
Long live the generous poetic spirit of Ruth Lilly!
So you see, my point is that if the Harrieteers truly cared about the path or role that poetry might find in the current conjuncture, then surely they would link to the first and so far only call put out for a collective poetic response to Trumpist neo-fascism. That they don't, tells you a great deal about what goes on in the building in Chicago that J.H. Prynne once referred to (in his defense of the young peacefully protesting poets the PF called the cops on) as a Bank.
Not that we don't sort of love it that they ignore us. And we've already received dozens of submissions in less than two days. (You don't have to be a Yank, by the way, to contribute.)
