Sorry Karel, I think that is a serious mistake, one I hope you can
reconsider. Indeed I hope everyone reading this engages in BDS in
general, and specifically directed at the advertisement you posted.
And I do hope that the Palestinian liberation cause - which can be so
effectively advanced through BDS - one day convinces you of the
immorality of your institution's role, especially in violating
international human rights laws and standards. I hope Ilan Pappe and a
few others of his ilk can serve as models for how Israeli academics
might locate themselves in this vital struggle (as did quite a few white
South African academics who supported the BDS against apartheid even
while it harmed them).
