Many of you have done exciting things at past Tech Waves. Some of these have led to publications and external projects or collaborations, some are reported on the TTW website. For a while I've been pondering ways to both gather together reports that are already created, and also offer an easy way to share experiences and outcomes that might not get published elsewhere.
After a bit of informal canvasing, we have .... The Annals of Tiree Tech Wave
The idea is that this will function as a lightweight, online, open-access publication for a variety of contributions from short summaries and pointers to work reported elsewhere to full articles.
I am applying for an ISSN and aim to have the first issue in January.
This is not intended to be a competitor to existing dissemination routes, more a place to collate things published in other ways, and offer a route for things that do not fit easily elsewhere.
I'm sure there is a backlog of things that have been done, but never written up, or things that you have published and can share through abstract or extended abstract, or new things related to TTW themes.
So, do please send me any contributions in any of the categories below (or maybe categories I've not thought of!).
Also if you have any comments, suggestions ... or offers to help, that would be wonderful.
Alan

THE ANNALS OF TIREE TECH WAVE
http://tireetechwave.org/annals/
Tiree Tech Wave is a biannual event that celebrates the wild edges of technology on the edge of the Atlantic. Precisely because it is without preconceived or pre-planned outcomes, the outcomes are often exciting and substantial, from bespoke builds and collaborations, to publications and funded projects.
The Annals are a place to report these.
Contributions can include a variety of formats reflecting the diverse activities at and inspired by Tiree Tech Wave, this can include:
* Experience reports of mini-projects executed at a Tech Wave, or inspired by it
* How-to guides on artefacts or techniques
* Photo articles on artistic or technical projects
* Summary articles of more extensive activities or projects
* In-depth articles addressing issues raised including theoretical, social or political implications
* Extended abstracts where work related to Tiree Tech Wave has been published elsewhere (including 'how to' sites)
* Commentary or reviews of books or articles that are relevant to the themes of the Annals
Volumes will be published online annually with issues initially bi-annually to reflect the timing of Tiree Tech Wave events.
The inaugural issue is planned for January 2017
