Dear Wi Hoon,
the DARTEL template which is provided with CAT12 should be fine for adult data and I don't see the need to create a customized template. However, this is my personal opinion and of course it might be sometimes better to create you own template, but the idea of providing a DARTEL template with CAT12 was to ease the preprocessing.
Best,
Christian

We just wonder whether we should make a customized (i.e., study-specific) template across all subjects. Creating the customized template from 3-4,000 data is time consuming work and needs a powerful computer equipment. If we just use a given template in CAT12, is there any issue?

However, the number of subjects (sample size) varies depending on different clinical/cognitive scores. For example, while Score A is available for 100 subjects, Score B is available for 200 subjects. In this case, should we make two customized templates (i.e., a template for each of 100 and 200 subjects, respectively) for two regression analyses or can we use one template created from 200 subjects?
