Deadline Imminent: Tuesday 18th October last date for completed 'Who Wants To Be A Mathematician?' entries
Has your school entered the new competition Who Wants To Be A Mathematician? Simon Singh and Matt Parker have arranged for UK students to access this event for the very first time, until now it has been an American only maths competition for 2,000 high school students. It is really easy to enter and take part in the competition. The UK winners will play in a live final in London… and can win prizes for themselves and their schools.
The deadline for stage one of the competition is looming, midnight on Tuesday 18th October so the organisers have asked interested colleagues to please email [log in to unmask] as soon as possible to receive your test sheets by Monday morning or soon thereafter. You will then have all day Monday and Tuesday to invite students to take part, run the test (which takes 15 minutes) and submit the names of those students who score 8 or more out of 10.
Please note that the competition is solely for UK teachers and students.
