What is IRESH?
The Scottish Interdisciplinary Research in Sexual Health Network (IRESH) is a newly formed network of research and health practitioners who seek to improve sexual health and wellbeing in Scotland. This Network provides a national forum which strategically co-ordinates and supports research related to sexual health and blood borne viruses (BBV). The network aims to:
· Promote national sexual health research leadership and co-ordination
* Champion the sexual health research agenda
* Facilitate partnerships between academic staff, postgraduate students and practitioners engaging in research related to sexual health and BBV across Scotland
* Promote dissemination, uptake and impact of research outputs with national and international stakeholders, including policy makers, health professionals and the public
* Foster innovation, knowledge exchange and collaboration
* Further develop research capacity in sexual health and BBV research in Scotland
* Support members to deliver sexual health and BBV research excellence
IRESH will work in partnership with the Scottish Governments' Framework Research Manager to help coordinate delivery of research and impact related to the Scottish Government's Sexual Health & BBV Framework Outcomes. We welcome anyone with an interest in or experience of sexual health and BBV research in Scotland to become a member of the Network.
