Let me put a counter proposal,
If we are playing the ethics card, then surly its un-ethical to continue to support an operating system with non-disclosed security holes into which an un-wary person less skilled in Windows is likely to fall victim too.
There are tools such as "Classic Shell" which may help such people migrate to Windows/7..
