Dear friends and colleagues,
I would just like to let you know that from next year, the IUC of Turin, together with the school of Gastronomic Sciences in Pollenzo (the one of Carlo Petrini and Slow Food) will offer a new 18 months master of research on Food, Law and Finance. It is a really fantastic program discussing critically the food networks that have transformed it into a financialized commodity threatening the alimentary security and the right to food for many, the quality of it for most. Though the program (in English) is in its first edition we have attracted a stellar faculty that includes among others, Olivier de Shuster, the UN rapporteur on food security. You can take the look to the program at www.iuctorino.it. There is a first year of theoretical work and a second part in a stage form at a variety of very interesting institutions in Europe, Africa and America.
Our application deadline is two weeks from today.
I would be extremely grateful for any help in letting this known to potentially interested students!
Very best regards
Ugo Mattei
Professor
