Hello,
My name is Nicholas Millet and I am a coordinator at Refugee Education Chios in Greece. We are looking for volunteers to join us over the next few months, especially those who are sensitive to the topic and may even speak some of the languages of our students. As such, please may I ask you to circulate this email to your distribution lists to encourage students to apply.
Many thanks,
Nicholas Millet
Be Aware and Share: Volunteers needed for Refugee Education Chios for November, December 2016 and January 2017
We have now completed our fifth successful month running our school and youth centre for the refugee children on Chios Island (Greece). As the sole provider of a holistic non-formal education programme, our role on the Island is as important as ever.
We currently have around 200 children aged between 6 and 18 years old attending our school every week and 100 youth aged between 12 and 20 years old attending our youth centre.
Our team is made up of a teachers, musicians, artists, nurses and social workers etc. We promote diversity within our volunteer group, and so do not necessarily look for individuals with a traditional teaching background.
We are looking for volunteers to join us for a minimum two weeks but the longer the better. Accommodation and mobility on the Island is covered by us.
So if you have the passion and enthusiasm to join us on our journey then please email your CV and brief note to [log in to unmask]
