Vacancies for External Examiners

Edge Hill University, Faculty of Health and Social Care, is seeking to appoint an External Examiner to its Postgraduate Professional Education provision: with subject expertise in Medical Leadership

MSc Leadership Development (Medical Leadership & Management)
PGC Medical Leadership

Closing Date:  31:10:16

This specialist remit comprises one postgraduate module: Medical Leadership, which is the core component within these programmes.
This module is delivered up to 10 times per academic year. 

Module remits are subject to change throughout the term of office, remaining appropriate to the area of expertise.

Successful applicants would be appointed with effect from January 2017 for a term of four years, and would be joining an established and supportive external examiner team.  External Examiners are required to attend Module Assessment Boards and to complete an annual report.   External Examiners are also invited to engage with students in practice.

All applicants must be a qualified doctor, registered with the GMC, with a PGCert in teaching and learning. Useful to have some knowledge and experiences of higher education quality processes.
