Robin, I’m satisfied that Jamie like myself seems to have a “monological view of language” as he too now recognises the truth of Marks statement. Jamie says, “Who's denying its truth? Humorous or not (and trying to explain a joke is never much fun) it's just a summary, and I see nothing to disagree with”. I am content that he has now come to this conclusion, monological views of language aside.
