October 2016 will mark the 50th anniversary of the founding of The Black Panther Party. TBS carries many articles, essays, interviews and profiles by or about the party. Therefore, it seems fitting to bring together a brief legacy of The BPP in TBS in the latest of these virtual special issues, with an introduction from TBS editor-in-chief, Louis Chude-Sokei.
