Dear all
I'm writing with a few updates from Gender, Place and Culture.
We continue to welcome standard submissions (papers of up to 9,000 word) and themed sections (4 to 7 articles ranging from 3,000-7,000 words in length with a themed section introduction); however, we also now welcome both interventions (4 to 7 articles ranging from 3,000-5,000 words in length) as well as multimedia submissions (for example see 'feminists on the frontline' - http://explore.tandfonline.com/page/pgas/cgpc-feminists-audio).
Furthermore, for book reviews, we continue to welcome reviews of individual texts (750 words) but also now encourage the following:
- longer book reviews of one text which is set within the context of an intellectual movement or shift in feminist geographies (1,500-2,000 words);
- book review essays which review 2-4 related books (up to 3000 words); and dialogic book review forums with multiple reviews of a key book or series (4-6 reviews of up to 15000 words which may or may not include a response from the author (up to 10,000 words all inclusive)).
Further information about these different types of submissions are available on our blog (under 'submission guidelines) - https://genderplaceandculture.wordpress.com/about/.
As I mentioned last week, the publishers have also made a selection of articles available free of access. Please feel free to share this with others:

Please also feel free to follow GPC on twitter (@GPCjournal) and Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/GPCjournal/).
Please feel free to share this with your colleagues, students and collaborators.
Best wishes
Peter
