Hi,
I still don't know how to correctly illustrate small volume corrections (SVCs) results and hope some experts could help. I performed SVCs (initial threshold 0.005 uncorrected, and then FWE correction) in 2 a priori ROIs and found they were all significant (I did not combine them as one ROI because they tested different hypotheses). To show them in a figure, which way is correct?
(1). Use a 0.005 uncorrected whole-brain map to show these 2 regions. In the figure legend, say "For visualization purpose, the threshold is set to p < 0.005 uncorrected, with the activation map displayed on the average structural image." This figure only have one t-value scale.
(2). If SVC result for ROI-1 is FWER corrected p<0.05, with k=30, select Results again and use ROI-1 as the inclusive mask and k=30 as extent threshold. Then I get one map with a significant blob in ROI-1 as well as one t-value scale. Repeat this process for ROI-2. Since each ROI map has a distinct t-value scale, this figure would contain 2 ROI maps with 2 separate t-value scale in total.
Thanks.
Mike
