Research Associate - Qualitative Research - QMUL9240
Department: Blizard Institute
Salary: £35,672 per annum (pro rata) (Grade 5)
Reference: QMUL9240
Date posted: 23-Aug-2016
Closing date: 20-Sep-2016
Applications are invited for an enthusiastic, highly motivated and experienced qualitative researcher to work as a Research Associate in a project entitled: Addressing the polypharmacy challenge in older people with multimorbidity: an in-depth ethnographic case study of experiences and practices to inform medicines optimisation in primary care.
This is a unique opportunity to explore polypharmacy and multimorbidity as complex challenges in health care settings using a range of qualitative methodologies. 'Medicines optimisation' emphasises the importance of understanding patients' priorities for their care, but we know little about how polypharmacy and 'medicine optimisation' play out in practice for patients and clinicians.
