I was wondering if you could advertise our upcoming event
Thanks
Next Generation social science and bioethics
We are holding a one-day event for early career researchers with an interest in social science, ethics and biomedicine. The workshop, will allow for peer to peer communication alongside the opportunity to hear from established scholars and practitioners in the field.
We will be meeting on Friday 11th November, 2016, from 11am-5pm at Brighton and Sussex Medical School, University of Sussex campus. We are delighted that Dr Dan O’Connor, Head of Humanities and Social Science at the Wellcome Trust, will be co-hosting the event which is funded by the Trust.
The format for the day will include short talks by invited speakers, plus plenty of opportunity for early career researchers to present their own research and/or research ideas in an informal setting. Presentations will be in a PechaKucha-style format, lasting for strictly 5 minutes with a maximum of 10 slides. We hope that this will give aspiring early career researchers the opportunity to meet and benefit from engaging with each other’s work and interests.
We have limited spaces left, so to register please let us know via email by October 8th.
There is no fee for this event which will include lunch. For those without funding, we have a small amount of money to contribute towards the cost of attending. For more information please contact either Dr. Gabrielle Samuel ([log in to unmask]) or Dr. Jane Peek ([log in to unmask]).
Kind Regards
Prof Bobbie Farsides, Dr Gabrielle Samuel, Dr Jane Peek
