The prize-winning Wilberforce Institute for the study of Slavery and Emancipation is looking to appoint a Professor in Contemporary Slavery and particularly welcomes applications from candidates with expertise in any of the following areas: the economic foundations of contemporary slavery, the meaning and measurement of contemporary slavery, migration and diaspora, comparative population studies, risk assessment and business supply chains.
You should have an excellent publication record and proven experience of winning large research grants. You will play a central role in driving forward the Institute’s development, building on its excellent research record in the area of contemporary slavery. An appetite for developing enterprise activities linked to the work of the Institute will be vital and you will be expected to build and sustain relationships with external partners, including NGOs, human rights organisations, and policymakers.
