Hello FSL team,
thank you for accepting my subscription in this forum.
I have a question, probably very stupid question, for you.
I have worked with FSL for 10 years. I installed and used it in different computers and I have never had any problem. Last month I installed FSL in another my computer, and I noted that every file that FSL saved, were in ANALYZE format and not in nii.gz.
Now the problems are two:
1) The ANALYZE format is bigger that nii.gz format, therefore, the problem is related to the HD space capacity and the speed on my analysis. I used fslchfiletype to convert the files to NIFTI format, but I cannot spend 2-3-4 minutes more (for each file) to have them in NIFTI format.
2) When I copy these files (in ANALYZE) to another computer and I run some FSL program on them, in automatic I have an error, because FSL sees that there are two files with the same name.
Well, my question is, why everytime that I installed FSL, I was able to have result files in NIFTI and now, in this last case, I have the files in ANALYZE.
I need to have all result files in NIFTI format. Is there a method to set up FSL in order to have all files in NIFTI?
Thanks,
Maurizio
