Hi Wendy,
1) Some time ago I'd spent a serious amount of time trying to find out what Point First and Point Second Moments are! All I could find at the time (or at least my poor memory of it today) is this:
- Point First Moment is highly correlated to Isovist area, see this old post:
https://www.jiscmail.ac.uk/cgi-bin/webadmin?A2=ind0710&L=SPACESYNTAX&P=R493&1=SPACESYNTAX&9=A&J=on&d=No+Match%3BMatch%3BMatches&z=4
- Point Second Moment is related to variance of radials, thus reflects the dispersion of isovist’s perimeter which is similar to it’s ’jaggedness’, more often calculated as APR - area/perimeter ratio (or, other times, as sqrt(area)/perimeter due to the unit of the area)
Please do approach these answers with caution, though; I ended up not using the measures in my further work, exactly because I couldn’t find out enough about them.
2) Have you unchecked ‘Simple version’ in Preferences just after opening DepthMap (i.e. before running the analyses)?
Hope that helps,
Best wishes
Jakub

They are not in the sidebar after my analysis is complete. What am I doing wrong?
