Do you want to raise young people’s science aspirations and develop their employability skills?
Could you offer a work experience placement for a science A-Level or BTEC student?
We are looking for offers of placements for students from various schools and colleges in Hackney, Camden and Islington who are aged 16 and 17 and studying science related courses.
You might be…
• A science professional organisation
• A charity supporting science research
• A science communication business
• A university research team
Students could get involved by…
• Blogging about a relevant science topic or science news item
• Helping prepare or deliver a science communication event
• Supporting a citizen science project
• Carrying out administration within a science organisation or department
• Shadowing lab staff and supporting with practical tasks
We are looking for one and two week block placements for various dates during the year as well as regular placements on a Monday or Thursday for up to 3 months. Work places should be based in central, north or east London.
