Hi, Mina,
I provide support for our recovery college in a number of ways:
Direct support for Trust staff who work for the recovery college.
Helping to set up their volunteer-run library of donated books
A tailored information skills course (finding reliable information online using free resources, etc).
We made the decision early on that we wanted to support the Recovery College but didn't feel we were in a position to support them with materials purchases or by running a library service specifically for them as their users were not within our service remit. Instead what we have provided and continue to provide is support for tour Trust's staff who work with the college (including literature searches, document supply etc), liaison with the students of the college in an informational capacity (extending to literature searches but not to document supply for copyright reasons), current awareness (through bulletins and inclusion in our library newsletters), and helping them set up their own volunteer-led service.
One thing we have found works well is to connect staff and students of the Recovery College with high quality freely available resources. NHS Evidence and NHS Choices have been very popular for public facing healthcare information. Finding people articles from The Mental Elf and other National Elf Service blogs has been well received, as have simple web searches like finding resources on the council website or other forms of local information.
I hope this is of some help.

Subject: Working with local Recovery Colleges
Dear all,
Do any of you do any work supporting Recovery Colleges? If so, what does your involvement look like - e.g. what do you do and how does it work? Do you offer any library training (such as information searching skills), do you lend books and/or other materials, anything else...? What are the pros and cons, what works well and not so well? I'm finding it a bit hard to look for information elsewhere, partly because i'm not entirely sure what sort of search terms to use to narrow it down effectively. Any ideas on that would be gratefully received too!
Thanks and kind regards,
Mina Krishnan
