Dear experts,
I would like to know the correct usage of the flag (-T) and the flag (--T2) in randomise
For example in TBSS (http://fsl.fmrib.ox.ac.uk/fsl/fslwiki/TBSS/UserGuide#voxelwise_statistics_on_the_skeletonised_FA_data), we used the flag (T2) in the following command :
randomise -i all_FA_skeletonised -o tbss -m mean_FA_skeleton_mask -d design.mat -t design.con -n 500 --T2
In VBM ( http://fsl.fmrib.ox.ac.uk/fsl/fslwiki/FSLVBM/UserGuide#E_-_Obtaining_and_displaying_your_FSL-VBM_results),
we used the flag (T) in the following command
randomise -i GM_mod_merg_s3 -m GM_mask -o fslvbm -d design.mat -t design.con -T -n 5000
In Randomise MAN it was mentioned that :
T is for TFCE and T2 is for TFCE with 2D optimization
Please what is the difference in usage between T and T2, or in other words what is the meaning of 2D optimization, or why we need that in TBSS and not in VBM
Many thanks
Jon
