Contract Type: Fixed term - one year contract
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Project Archivist to catalogue the papers of South Yorkshire Police in relation to the National Union of Mineworkers’ Strike of 1984-1985.
This is a challenging project with a high level of public interest. You will need a postgraduate qualification in Archives and/or Records Management together with knowledge of the Freedom of Information and Data Protection Acts.
The archives require detailed cataloguing at item level to ISAD(G) standards. Sheffield City Archives uses Axiell’s Calm software.
The post, funded by South Yorkshire Police, is fixed term for one year. It is based at Sheffield City Archives under the line management of the Archives and Heritage Manager.
