On the 10th of October the Royal Society of Biology will be holding a training course on Scientific Laboratory Leadership and Management.
Management skills are vital for a successful career in a scientific lab environment. As well as their research expertise, successful team leaders need to develop additional skills including the ability to support staff, manage their own team, and deal with issues within the team.
Following the success of the previous course last year, the Society continues to offer this one-day introductory course specifically to meet the needs of postdoctoral researchers in academic or industrial environments.
The course will run from 09:30 to 17:30, at Charles Darwin House 2, 107 Gray's Inn Road, London WC1X 8TZ.
The course tutor is Charlie Wilson OBE MRSB and the workshop will finish with a Q&A session from three current laboratory team leaders, who will give practical experience and advice.
Fees
Royal Society of Biology members - £65 + VAT
Staff and members of Member Organisation - £97.50 + VAT
