Have you checked that fetch-crl-cron is running and up to date? I have had similar globus error (but sadly not the same) when some of the CRLs were out of date. It is not obvious from the logs that that was the problem - and I have been stuck with that twice now.
May be nothing to do with it of course - but it is a very quick check.
