Hi,
Why don't statistical experts check the validity of commonly used imaging software (SPM, FSL, AFNI)? I believe that the majority of neuroscientists who employ neuroimaging as the research tool are not statistical experts. That would prevent that someday another article like the cluster failure one would pop up and become another hype. But on the other hand, can the neuroscientific significant be determined by purely statistics?
