Reminder – Call for workshop presentations
There are just 5 weeks left to submit your abstract for the 2016 SRA annual conference. The deadline is Monday 8 August.
The theme is: ‘Making the links: New directions for social researchers’:
Now more than ever, social researchers need to build strong connections outside our industry. Traditional boundaries between research methods have softened; researchers are increasingly collaborating with other professionals in fields such as bio-tech and engineering; and technology redraws the limits on how we collect, use and share data. What challenges and opportunities does this new landscape bring?
Last year over 200 researchers and research users attended, from national and local government, research agencies and institutes, academia, and the independent and voluntary sectors, representing the full range of research methodologies.
We are looking for abstracts (up to 500 words) for 20 minute workshop presentations with a focus on one or more of these themes:
• Methodological innovation
• Collaboration and partnerships
• Communications and impact
• Ethical issues
• Evidence-informed policy and practice
• Unexpected outcomes
• ‘The way we live now’
One speaker per successful submission will benefit from a substantially reduced delegate fee. The conference is on 6 December at the British Library in London.
Please use the template Word document on our website www.the-sra.org.uk/events
With best regards,
