Hi Social-Policyers,
The Welsh Government's 2007 policy paper 'Fulfilled Lives, Supportive Communities'
set out a series of reforms to social services in Wales, set to run to 2018. I've got
a forthcoming multi-authored article analysing the text of the policy
(https://www.academia.edu/25468423/); and I'm looking for others with an interest in
social services in Wales to work up a roundtable seminar in Cardiff next spring (when
post-election ministerial budgets should be clear).
The event would reflect on this policy and its implementation in the context of its
renewal post-2018, and in relation to the WG's overarching equality duty. I'm
planning to invite attendees from across academia, the third sector, and Welsh Govt,
and it would be (buzzword time) 'solution-focused'.
Any takers to give a presentation at such an event? Please feel free to pass this
message on to anyone who might be interested.
All the best,
Dave
