Taylor & Francis currently have a vacancy in our Communications team, based within the Journals division, for a Communications Executive to work on author communications, with a particular focus on open access and the Americas.
The role involves working with the Senior Communications Manager to deliver a communications strategy that supports our brand, delivers clear messages about our services, and distils our position on Open Access. It will involve close collaboration with colleagues globally (in particular with our US office).
The role will include:
* Contributing to communications plans in line with business and author needs
* Commissioning and creating content for our Author Services website
* Creating communications collateral
* Identifying and developing relationships with external organisations based in the Americas, building awareness of Taylor & Francis
* Monitoring our brand in the market and being aware of competitor activity
* Acting as the key point of contact for US based colleagues on OA and author related communications
To be successful the ideal candidate will have:
* A good understanding of the role communications play in corporate messaging and customer engagement
* Experience of working in a Marcomms or Corporate Communications role
* A background in publishing, academic research or a related field
* Ability to communicate and engage at all levels, both internally and externally, including presenting at events
* Analytical skills
* Excellent project management and self-motivation skills
* A proven track record of delivering to targets and objectives
* A critical and creative thinker, who seeks opportunities to deliver improvements
This position is based at our office in Milton Park, Oxfordshire and will include overseas travel, primarily in the Americas.
