Dear Colleagues,
There is an exciting new vacancy in the Science Museum Group, at National Railway Museum in York. Please do circulate to your networks or anyone you think might be interested.
Vacancy for Head of Learning and Events at the National Railway Museum.
This new role will provide direction for the delivery of a high quality learning programme here at the Museum and will have an input to our exciting Masterplan and Cultural Programme. Engagement will be a key feature of your work. We want to introduce a youth engagement strategy, to build relationships with partners in universities and to gain support from the National STEM Centre, Arts Council England, and York City Council amongst others.
Experienced in developing and implementing strategy within an informal learning context, you'll be bursting with ideas and plans for us and this enthusiasm will help you lead and develop your colleagues to be passionate, proud and high performing. You will work alongside colleagues from across the SMG museums, sharing expertise and learning from each other.
You'll also be responsible for generating revenue by introducing a charging model which will improve the sustainability of your vibrant, relevant programme and so you will have a keen eye for budgets and enjoy making commercial decisions.
