Hi All
I have a case of a client who normally works in IE - Ive tried to be sparing with info due to confidentiality
- MSD issue with a very protracted recovery for the issue in question and absent for over 2 years to date. Possible claim too
- Living out of the UK for much of this time to 'pursue treatment'.
- I became involved for the first time in February 2016 and since then we have had 4 potential RTW plans none of which have transpired.
- HR are now asking for a face to face assessment either in the the country they are living or when they return to Ireland.
I am considering pursuing a specialist report but Im not sure how 'independent' this will be
Im uncertain of the benefits of a face to face assessment if undertaken in the country they are living in now, as Im not sure what OH services would be there and how independent they would be. Can we ask them to return to IE for assessment?
What are others views? Is a face to face assessment likely to be beneficial given the circumstances
Thanks Sharon
