We had a couple of digital TVs (cheaper than monitors) running off

The issue was occasional issues to do with about display refresh speed when
processing data requests for web dashboards running heavy scripts. The
newer pokier R-Pis would probably cope

Raspberry Pi will run most big screens or Connected TVs. We did a workshop
a few weeks ago with Rasberry Pi B+ hooked up to a 52" screen (running the
clunky Pi version of Minecraft) and it looked and ran fine.
It's just down to finding a reasonably-priced screen. We've been getting
them off eBay and hooking them up to Pi for coding workshops etc.
Sheringham Museum might also have some comments on this. The volunteers
there appear to be running the entire building on Pi.
