HQ Waterwells, Quedgeley, Gloucestershire 
Scale /Salary:  Scale 6 – SO2 from £25,399 up to £35,100
(Inclusive of Market Force Factors)

Gloucestershire Constabulary’s GIS & Data team are recruiting 2 x GIS Service & Support Analysts. 
The role will be based at the Gloucestershire Police HQ which is just off junction 12 of the M5. 
Reporting to the ICT Specialist Service Manager (GIS & Data) within the ICT Department, the successful candidates will be involved in the support and provision of GIS to system users throughout the Constabulary.  From updating data and day-to-day support of the Corporate GIS (including web mapping system) to being involved in bespoke projects to support operations and automating analyses of complex data; this is an exciting opportunity for the right candidates to be part of a team that constantly looks to new ways of using GIS and analyses to support policing. 
The applicants will need to demonstrate good levels of attention to detail, analytical thinking/problem solving and dedication to excellent customer service.
The ICT Department operate in line with BCS SFIA grading. The two roles may be at different levels from SFIA level 3 to level 4, depending on the experience of the applicant: 

Essential

•         Experience of using ESRI ArcGIS Desktop10.1 + in business environment:
o    Good skills in map composition/production & effective data presentation 
o    Awareness /experience of mapping data sets 
o    Experience of working with data from a variety of map projections
o    Experience of creating accurate data sets, including designing of the supporting database tables
o    Experience of using ArcGIS for data analysis 
•         Experience of ArcGIS Desktop installation and configuration
Desirable

•         ArcGIS Server 10.1 + installation & configuration
•         Python scripting and automating processes
•         Web GIS production (ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Online,  JavaScript API, ESRI UK’s LocalView Fusion, Flex, etc)
•         Portal for ArcGIS
•         ESRI UK LocatorHub; setting up gazetteers and geocoding/rectification
•         ESRI UK’s Crime Analyst
•         Experience of supporting applications and issue resolution
•         Release management and system performance monitoring, review & recommendations
Further training for the right candidates will be provided as the team broadens its remit to other data analysis applications used within the Constabulary.
Candidates must be willing to undergo the relevant security vetting for this role.
