Prompted by the reporting that, in the Commons’ Science and Technology Committee, Science Minister Jo Johnson "said he was aware of anecdotal reports that British scientists were already facing “discrimination” from EU institutions acting as if Brexit has already happened. The Department of Business, Innovation and Skills has issued an email address for academics to report such incidents and set up a special unit to monitor the situation."

I suspect that it may be useful if BIS get a large number of people reporting ill effects. I am sure that VCs/UCU/management will be making well-resourced complains to BIS. However, in an era of "Metrics or it didn't happen" it may be useful for BIS to report that a large number of people are experiencing ill effects. In addittion to the funding, it is certainly apparent that applying for funding/jobs is being affected by people bing unsure if they will have right to remain for the full period of a grant.
