On behalf of Hester Reeve, one of Sheffield Hallam University academics and artist.
Hello - Ymedaca is a 160 page/full colour artist publication documenting the art project 'Ymedaca' (the result of a two year residency at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park and the National Art Education Archive) and also containing 4 commissioned essays (re-evaluating the work of Plato in relationship to contemporary issues of education and art), and an interview with me, the artist, about the research feeding the project and the value of art school education. It includes full colour reproductions of drawings, sculpture, performances for camera and documentation of a one day garden academy.
It was always part of the project's founding intentions to focus its concerns into a publication and to attempt to place a copy in the libraries of every university running a BA Fine Art course.
For this reason I am keen to get contact names and addresses of the art librarians linked to BA fine Art courses around the UK who are interested in receiving a free copy of Ymedaca for their library shelves.
If this is you then please email me at: [log in to unmask] and put 'Ymedaca Art School Library' in the email header.
