The British Library has two six month vacancies for cataloguers to work on the recently acquired Boosey and Hawkes music publishing archive. The archive contains production material relating to the company’s music publications (e.g. proofs and associated correspondence with the composers), as well as other documentation relating to its day-to-day business, such as correspondence, financial records, minutes of meetings, contracts and documentation of other legal matters.
Applicants should be qualified archivists, with relevant experience of arranging and cataloguing collections in an online cataloguing system to international standards (ISAD(G), NCA Rules etc). Knowledge of music and foreign languages would be advantageous but not essential. They should be available to take up an appointment at the beginning of October.

Interview Date: 22 or 23 August 2016
