The University's Centre for Transport Research (CTR) is building a strong interdisciplinary research team and now wishes to make an appointment in the area of evaluation of new transport initiatives and measures as part of the team for the Horizon 2020 CIVITAS PORTIS (Port Cities: Innovation for Sustainability) project. The successful candidate will have a good knowledge of process and impact evaluation methodologies (both quantitative and qualitative), as well as a deep understanding of Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) and an appreciation of their relevance to the delivery of sustainable urban mobility. Some knowledge of the transport policy framework and factors affecting the deployment of ITS applications would be advantageous as well as a willingness to work closely with industry partners. The candidate will have a PhD or be about to complete a PhD in Transport Engineering, Transport Planning or a cognate discipline.
