Thanks to all those who expressed interest. I have a further question - does anyone know anyone who runs a batch system used entirely by non-LHC users (or even entirely non-HEP) who may be interested in participating? Whilst we will try to get feedback from other communities in any polls, it would be good to have someone from another community more closely involved if possible.
Regards,
Andrew.

Subject: Batch system monitoring HEPiX working group
Hi,
Following some discussion generated by this talk at HTCondor Week:
http://research.cs.wisc.edu/htcondor/HTCondorWeek2016/presentations/ThuSteers_CondorMonitoring.pdf
it was decided that a HEPiX working group on batch system monitoring should be setup. The aim is to come up with some common solutions to batch system monitoring that can be used by many sites, rather than everyone inventing their own tools. The activities of the working group will probably include:
- polling sites on batch system monitoring needs
- documenting and reviewing existing solutions
- writing a report recommending a (small) number of solutions
Note that it's about batch systems in general, not just HTCondor. If anyone is interested in participating, please let me know.
Thanks,
Andrew.
