The Department of Psychology seeks to fill the following positions starting on July 1, 2016 within the DFG funded Collaborative Research Center (“Sonderforschungs-bereich” SFB 940) Volition and Control:
PhD position in Cognitive and/or Computational Neuroscience
(65% E 13 TV-L / for 4 years)
Postdoc position in Cognitive and/or Computational Neuroscience
(100% E 13 TV-L / for 4 years)
The CRC “Volition and Cognitive Control” (SFB 940) entails 14 projects with a budget of over 10 Million Euro. The center combines expertise from experimental and biological psychology, cognitive-affective neuroscience, lifespan developmental neuroscience and clinical psychology/psychiatry to investigate the cognitive and neural mechanisms underlying volitional control, the development and aging of these mechanism as well as dysfunctions in selected mental disorders.
The positions will be associated with Project B7 on lifespan age differences in the arbitration of learning strategies. The project will conduct neuroimaging studies in children, younger and older adults to investigate how goal-directed learning and decision-making functions and their underlying neural mechanisms develop across the human lifespan.
