Hello SPM experts
I am currently running DCM analyses through the SPM GUI and I have two separate sessions I am wishing to combine for my models. I've used the spm_dcm_average function which allows me to do this, however it gives the warning that this should be used for parameter estimate extraction only and cannot be used for model comparison. My model comparison it seems must be done between models within session. This requires model estimation. My question is, after doing this. When I combine my sessions, is it necessary to do model estimation again on the combined sessions? The GUI allows you to do so without any warning that you will overwrite current estimation. My goal is to use parameter estimates from the combined sessions per model (DCM.Ep.B) to load into group level analyses. But I am unsure if I need to re-estimate the model once sessions are combined. I appreciate any advice, thank you!
