Hi All
The following message has been circulated on the SPA Postgrad Jisc-mail detailing a pre-conference ice breaker social and a reminder of the ECR event (details of which I hope to send out later this week). Please can you let me know if you wish to attend the Postgrad/ECR social on the 3rd (email me at [log in to unmask]) so we have numbers. It would be great to see lots of you there.
Hi everyone
I just wanted to let you know about a few of the opportunities that will be available to postgraduates and early career researchers as part of the 2016 SPA conference in Belfast.
Postgrad/ECR social on Sunday 3rd July
Many people will arrive at the conference not knowing anyone else, so we're going to hold a social event on the eve of the conference to act as an icebreaker. It's likely to take place in a restaurant or bar near the conference venue. If you're interested in coming along to this event, please let me know me so that we have an idea of numbers.
Q&A session: how to get your thesis published
Our ECR Representative, Lee Gregory, will be organising a Q&A session that looks at how to turn a doctoral thesis into a published book or monograph. This should be a really interesting event of relevance to both ECRs and postgraduates. Full details will be included in the final conference programme.
Looking forward to seeing you at the SPA Conference (for those who are able to make it) and please circulate the message to anyone you think should see this but maybe is not on the Jiscmail (at least not yet!)
Regards
Lee
