Inspired by many speakers at Talis Insight Europe we opted to try Reviews 2.0. We love the alerting of new editions and items used on other lists, however Reviews 2.0 has not led to the improved efficiencies that we hoped for.
We produce lists in the library and make use heavy use of the library note field to record issues or problems with web sites or ejournals or whatever. In the old reviews it was possible to browse a review and see these notes, that is not possible in Reviews 2.0. It is not possible to filter by notes for library, or notes for student.
We have already raised this with ASPIRE and they are discussing it.
I’m wondering if anyone else has this issue and would like to support this idea http://ideas.talis.com/forums/32805-talis-aspire-reading-lists/suggestions/3932350-ability-to-filter-by-library-notes
Have any other institutions found a solution or alternative to using the notes field ?
Thanks
Valerie Wells, University of Stirling.
